Facility Project News
The Brookfield Library, via its general contractor IHC Construction, began work on the new Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library on Monday, April 13. The first week consisted of site prepartion along with the delivery of a jobsite trailer, installation of a construction fence and signage and street closures put into place. Currently the Crew is drilling piles on the site.
The Library has installed and configured a new camera on its roof in order to provide time release footage of the project to the Brookfield community. Stay tuned for the first time lapse videos, which will likely be compiled weekly and monthly and shared with residents via the Library’s website, eNews releases and social media.
Library officials plan to hold a groundbreaking ceremony when public health concerns are resolved.
See below for the latest information on the Library's facility project. To provide feedback, contact a Library Trustee or Library Director Kimberly Coughran. Residents are also encouraged to attend the regular monthly meetings of the Board which take place every 4th Wednesday of the month at the Library at 7:00 p.m.
