Facility Project News
Phase 1 of the Facility Project (construction of the new Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library) is now complete. The new building is open and ready for visitors.
Phase 2 of the project has begun. Demolition of the old library began at the end of July. Residents can expect approximately one month of demolition work followed by construction and creation of the necessary underground water retention system, park and parking lot.
All work on the south end of Lincoln Avenue is expected to be complete by the end of November.
Time Lapse Videos
Throughout construction of the new facility, the Library installed and configured a new camera on the roof of the old building in order to provide time release footage of the project to the Brookfield community. Click on the links below for weekly and monthly coverage of the building project.
See below for the latest information on the Library's facility project. To provide feedback, contact a Library Trustee or Library Director Kimberly Coughran. Residents are also encouraged to attend the regular monthly meetings of the Board which take place every 4th Wednesday of the month at the Library at 7:00 p.m.
